Memory Reconsolidation

About a week after a new memory is consolidated –stabilized– by the hippocampus, it transfers to the neocortex for long-term storage. The neocortex is the thin outer covering of the brain. Once stored in the neocortex, the memory can be recalled and again consolidated or stabilized. This memory reconsolidation renders the memory changeable.

Breath Therapy can relieve anxiety and tension that interfere with performance, be that sports, sex, sleep, etc. It improves   It promotes the integration of  mind, body, feelings, and emotions enabling artistic expression to flow and optimizing physical movements to conserve energy and reduce wear and tear on joints, muscles, and tendons. If the interchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide takes place completely both in the lungs and the organs,  we have the strength and life energy to recover quickly. Breath Therapy is a source of vitality and strength of mind and body.

Insomnia

Insomnia

I am a night owl. Like so many others, I was forced to be up by 5:30 a.m. To get by, I rotated between four or five different sleep meds. I took the sleep medication, sat at my desk writing till I could not keep my eyes open, plopped onto my futon and fell into a seemingly dreamless sleep.

I got by with five or six hours of sleep. To feel balanced, I required nine or ten. Continue reading
